  • Location: London-based (preferred) / Remote (UK) with travel required for content capture sprints.

  • Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026) with the intent to convert into a long-term position.

  • Salary: Up to £30,000 pro-rata (dependent on experience).

About the Role

We are launching a high-profile digital activation program working directly with an elite roster of professional athletes (spanning running, football, rugby, and boxing), all of whom are endorsed by Nike. We are seeking an exceptional Athlete Storyteller to act as the full-time, on-ground engine to help bring these athletes' social media channels to life.

This is not a traditional corporate or agency content creator job. We need a specialist with a real creative edge, someone who understands the subcultures of sport and can build absolute trust with world-class talent. You will be embedded within their environments, transforming intimate seeding moments, training clips, and major competition milestones into high-velocity, authentic social media narratives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Embedded Content Production: Capture raw, authentic, "inside-the-lines" content natively on-site at training grounds, product drops, and tournaments.

  • Bespoke Strategy Execution: Work 1:1 with at least 4 elite athletes to activate their personal brand blueprints, ensuring their off-pitch personalities organically showcase their partnerships.

  • Data-Informed Creative Editing: Move beyond surface-level aesthetics. You will actively look at performance analytics, competitive benchmarking, and posting habits to make informed, logical formatting and timing choices that maximise reach.

  • Agile Channel Management: Run high-performing, platform-specific content calendars optimised for Instagram and TikTok.

  • 24/7 Athlete Ecosystem Support: Manage dedicated communications channels (WhatsApp) to provide real-time trend alerts, rapid-turnaround video editing, and confidence-building advice for the roster.

  • Brand Integration Alignment: Actively track and scale brand visibility across athlete feeds, ensuring product seeding and commercial moments deliver massive exposure and premium value.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Elite Talent Familiarity: 2–5 years of proven experience working directly with high-profile athletes, creators, or sports brands in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

  • The Creative "Edge": A portfolio demonstrating exceptional, trend-setting visual style. You must know how to make sports culture look cool, distinct, and disruptive.

  • Mobile Editing Mastery: Fluency in lightning-fast, high-quality in-app editing, CapCut, and mobile-first production workflows.

  • Data Literacy: Comfort working with digital insight platforms to analyse platform data, find structural content gaps, and translate data trends into creative, platform-specific editing decisions.

  • Absolute Adaptability & Discretion: Exceptional emotional intelligence, a team-player mentality, and total respect for athlete boundaries and corporate confidentiality.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently at short notice and work non-traditional hours (evenings and weekends) to mirror the elite sporting calendar.

What Success Looks Like

By the end of this 6-month contract, you will have completed a series of dedicated content sessions per athlete, outputting a highly calculated, high-performing library of native posts. Your work will form the bedrock of an aggregated case study designed to establish best practices across the sports marketing industry. Success in this initial phase offers a clear path into a permanent, long-term role within the agency.
