European Junior Champion
Toby is one of the UK’s most talented and exciting sprinters in the UK both on and off the track. On the track, the youthful Londoner has already shown signs of delivering on his potential by winning the European Junior Championships over 100m in 2021. A championship performer, he ran a season's best on the biggest junior stage to bring home the gold medal and from there decided to apply his talents stateside at Boston University.
Toby’s decision to attend Boston University was academic as well as athletics. With offers from multiple universities, including Harvard, on the table, it was all about finding an environment that would allow him to flourish both in the classroom and on the track. For those that know Toby it’ll be no surprise to hear that that is exactly what he is doing. In his first year in the NCAA, he took the college track scene by storm, running a 9.90(w) at the Texas relays and winning a number of other races over both 60m and 100m. Toby is looking to build on his successful career so far and has his sights set on an individual place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. There are big things ahead for this young man and we believe that a breakthrough on the senior stage is a matter of when, not if.
Away from sport and academia, Toby is also laser-focused on inspiring the next generation of athletics stars. His own personal journey motivated him to build a strong social media presence focused on educating and mentoring young athletes who are looking to follow in his footsteps.
